Amy received her bachelor of science degree from Western Michigan University in 1991. Amy continued her education and training in a physician assistants program at Lutheran College of Health Professionals in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. During her training she completed a four-week elective clinical orthopedics rotation with Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron.
She graduated from Lutheran College with the Honor of Highest Distinction. Amy is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She earned her Master's degree in 2003 from the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne Indiana.
Amy returned to her native Port Huron after working in a large pediatric practice in Battle Creek, Michigan. She is an occasional guest lecturer in pediatrics and orthopedics at Lutheran College. She lives in Port Huron with her husband, Keith, and their two children.
