“Dr. Heithoff has performed three different surgeries for me; from trigger thumb repair, to repairing a meniscus tear in my knee and total knee replacement. I couldn't ask for a better doctor. He's performed three surgeries for me, including repair of my trigger thumb (which works great now), repaired a meniscus tear and then my recent knee replacement. He's humble, he's extremely professional, and caring all at the same time. He answered all of my questions I've ever had and actually has drawn pictures for me to better understand. He also takes as much time as I need to discuss treatment options with me. Jennifer Hodney is a physician assistant who assisted Dr. Heithoff with my total knee replacement. When I met with her prior to my surgery, she too was willing to answer any questions I had, she was compassionate and encouraged me to ask questions as well. I'd recommend them both if you require any of their services. Excellent!!!!!”

“I had my left hip replaced. The pain I experienced prior to surgery was interfering with my life. I have never experienced the rapid recovery from surgery that I did with my hip. It was nothing short of a miracle. I tell everyone that asks exactly that. Dr. Heithoff was truly incredible and I wouldn't hesitate to go back if problems develop in my other hip. “On May 6th I fell down the stairs at my church and took the tendons off both my knees. Local hospital failed to diagnose that sent me home to see my family doctor. Went to see her on May 7th. She was able to get me an appointment at Orthopedic Associates that afternoon. They knew immediately what I had done and scheduled me for surgery on May 8th. It has now been nearly 9 months. Dr. Murphy did an exceptional job and says I should be doing what I used to do in 12 months. I think he will be right in his prognosis. Nothing but thanks for the work done for me!!!”

“I fell off my horse and broke my wrist, it was a very bad break and required surgery, Dr. Murphy was great during this whole process. I went for a month of physical therapy. Everyone was very nice and helpful.  My wrist is doing well. I would recommend Orthopedic Associates to anyone. Both of my sons have been treated there in the past for fractures with very good results, that is why I decided to go there.”

“A man at our church suggested I see Dr. Makim for the problem I was having with my knee. I was very impressed on my first visit. They took X-rays, and showed them to me. I also had taken an MRI and was shown that as well. Everything was explained in detail, as a former Anatomy and Physiology Professor I appreciated his detail to facts, which also backed up my knowledge. I have healed very well and am going back for the other knee next month.”

“Dr. Murphy repaired a very serious shoulder injury. Had a torn rotator cuff and it was detached from the bone. Also had bone spurs and some shredding of the bicep tendon. I'm a bowler was told I'll never bowl again after I get a shoulder reversal done. Dr. Murphy took time and reassured me I can have my injuries repaired and I will be able to bowl again. I did everything  Dr Murphy told me to do and glad to say within 5 months of my surgery I'm bowling. Had the surgery done Dec 15, 2014. “I have had nothing but positive experiences at Orthopedic Associates. Dr. Steve Heithoff has kept my carpal tunnel pain under control with injections rather than surgery. I have several back conditions (degenerative discs, lumbar stenosis, lower spinal curve) and Dr. Pasia has provided huge relief with a different type of back support. I had several therapy sessions under Maureen's care - Kristin did most of the "hands-on" but all the PT staff that I had contact with were top notch. I noticed much improvement after only two treatments and by the end of my sessions could walk without any assistance. I still do the prescribed home exercises and am on "as needed status" now with my providers. My current need is to find time to meet with Maureen for new orthotics. I always recommend OA to anyone in need of care. I live 65 miles from Port Huron and am 81 years old but it is worth the drive to receive the type of care that OA provides.”
