Dr. Steven Heithoff of Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron recently participated in and won his age division in the men’s sprint in the Latin American Triathlon Championships in Havana, Cuba.

Over 400 athletes from 32 different countries competed in this event. The sprint distance event consisted of a 750-meter swim, a 20-kilometer bike ride and a 5-kilometer run. Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron hosted the 8th Annual Fun Run on Saturday, Aug. 15th. The community fitness event offered a 1-mile run and a 10K and 5K walk-or-run. 

Dr. Todd P. Murphy, sports medicine surgeon at Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron, said that the event is able to involve everyone because of the several different levels offered.
