She was able to get me in at 11:00 am the same day I called. Dr. Braaksma was on time, reviewed and discussed my ankle issue and did the procedure. Great service! ”

“When I was thirteen years old I blew out my ACL playing basketball. Dr. Murphy performed my surgery and with the help from Marc also from OA I was able to get back to playing high school sports and training in martial arts. After high school I began training harder in martial arts which led to two more knee surgeries scar tissue removal and a meniscus tear on the same knee. Dr. Murphy knows that sports are very important to me and that I will always push myself so he got me able to go back to doing the things that I love. I am currently fourth in the state of Michigan for my age and rank sparring division and I also took third in World Karate and Kickboxing Championships this past November. I would highly recommend Dr. Murphy and the members of Orthopedic Associates for anybody with sports related injuries. ”

“I broke my L4 vertebrae and really didn't realize it for almost two weeks. My back didn't heal after my home remedies, so I thought I had better get to a specialist. I'd been to ORTHOPEDICS ASSOCIATES several years ago, as well as my family, so I made the appointment. After a few sets of exrays, I was referred to Dr Pasia. I can't tell how professional and comforting he was, from his dress to his diagnosis and plan to heal my back. No mention of any surgery, which was very comforting. When something like this happens, the average "lay" person has no idea how this problem will be resolved. I was so happy to have my back healed up in six weeks, and VERY happy to go back to work. Thanks again!”

“I had an ACL and partial meniscus tear during a high school basketball game, and fractured my knee cap. Dr. Makim performed my knee surgeries, and I did my rehab with Marc at OA. Dr. Makim and Marc knew from the beginning how bad I wanted to be back in the gym, and they were incredibly supportive during my journey. The entire staff at Orthopedic Associates made me feel like family, and their support and encouragement during my treatment made all the difference in my recovery. I was able to compete again at the High School level, and was lucky enough to continue playing softball at the college level for the SCCCC Skippers. I have recommended Dr. Makim, Orthopedic Associates and the OA Physical Therapy program to family and friends, and I am very thankful for the wonderful care and support that I received.”

“Dr. Makim has been treating me for about three years!!! He is awesome. I had been dealing with severe pain caused by bone on bone osteoarthritis for many years. First, I got a few series of Euflexxa injections and finally had Total Knee Replacement Surgery in January!! Everyone was so nice and considerate and now I am back to living my active life again!! “I was first referred to Dr. Doss. What a very down to earth, warm, funny,  kind and personable doctor I have ever been blest to see. After reviewing my MRI he referred me to Dr. E. Pasia. Before we left Dr. Doss he rattled off several one-line jokes that made me beg to him "I was all  laughed out, with tears running down my face". I practically pushed him out of the exam room, I could not take any more. He totally made the rest of my day. "GOD PLEASE BLESS THIS MAN". Also he referred me to see Dr. E. Pasia. Another personable , warm, kind and funny  doctor with one-line jokes also. I think there was some competition between the two doctors. Anyway after reviewing my MRI, he suggested I receive physical therapy first. I had the P.T. and it is working. I do my exercises ( 2 1/2 hrs. per day ) as many times a week as possible. I tell everyone who needs to see a specialist my experience with O.A. I must admit I was very very skeptical to go to them after my bad experience with an Orthopedic doctor several years ago in Southfield,  Mich. ( not related to O.A. ). A VERY WARM THANK YOU to Doctors Doss and Pasia. I am forever grateful.”

“Dr. Heithoff performed a total knee replacement on my right knee and straightened my leg. He had replaced my left knee two months earlier. Both surgeries went very well and I was up and moving around after the surgeries On the same day. I realized almost immediately I no longer had arthritic pain in my knees After a couple of weeks I didn't need my walker and started using a cane. I am looking forward to a great summer and fall being able to walk my dog, ride my bike, and garden with ease and no pain. I went to Orthopedic Associates for physical therapy. The staff and therapists are very friendly and professional. They have helped me make tremendous progress and provided encouragement and support.  I would highly recommend using their services.
