Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist

A native of Bay City, Michigan, Dr. Kowalski is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist. He joined Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron in 2012. He offers a wide array of treatment options, including epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency lesioning, peripheral nerve stimulation, and spinal cord stimulation. Additionally, he is an expert in performing the minimally invasive mild® procedure for patients with lumbar spinal stenosis.

After completing his Bachelor of Science degree in biology and graduating magna cum laude from Alma College in Alma, Michigan, Dr. Kowalski received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. He then completed internship training at the Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Dr. Kowalski underwent residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation and accredited fellowship training in interventional pain management at the Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Kowalski scored in the top 7% of the country on the pain medicine board exam and is the top trained pain management specialist in our area.

Dr. Kowalski is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in pain medicine.

When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Kowalski enjoys exercising, boating, and reading.
